Today one third of Mongolians live nomadically, much as their ancestors have for millenia.

Immense in scale, diverse in topography, and continually reinventing itself with daily and seasonal rhythms, the Mongolian countryside's remarkable beauty is difficult to fully capture. Famous for their generosity and hospitality, the herders who make it their home must be tough, resourceful, and deeply in tune with their environment to survive. The nomads' interconnectedness with the natural world is imbued with a deep sense of spirituality, which is as difficult to transmit as their landscape's vastness and grandeur.
